IMMJ’s current focus is to build upon MediViewer™’s position as number one in its market, by continuing to innovate their platform offering as well as rapidly rolling out MediViewer™ to NHS hospitals and trusts and private medical institutions.
The UI Designer will own the design function and will be responsible for introducing and setting up the tools, plans and software needed to produce wireframes, deliver design concepts, and disseminate feedback from multiple sources in order to evolve the UI into the best possible incarnation.
This will be a demanding and rewarding role. We are looking for a Graphic and UI Designer, who prides themselves on delivering user friendly and intuitive interfaces. The core application is stable but in need of a graphic refresh, for new features this is an opportunity for you to use your UI and UX skills to answer questions like ‘what is the user trying to achieve with this feature?’, ‘is there a better way to present this information/these options/this functionality’, ‘how can we make this easier for the user’ and ‘what is the most intuitive way to present x or achieve y’.
Our software is our business and the Technical Services department operate a ‘pixel perfect’ policy – and part of your role will be to ensure this happens when it comes to delivery of your designs.

Fulltime, based in the Chelmsford Tech Centre.
Industry rate – based on experience
Personality fit is more important than formal qualifications, though you will need to be able to demonstrate UI designs that you have previously created in software or on the web.
The team are close knit and focused on delivering benefit to the customer – it is vital that you are prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with a view to delivering the best quality product possible on time and on budget.
An ability to take responsibility for your output is essential.
Knowledge and Experience
Mandatory: Experience creating UI designs, wire-framing, design documentation, style guideline creation, user led interface design.
Beneficial: Agile, Kanban, Node JS, HTML, CSS.
Skills and Qualifications
Mandatory: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, user journeys, design storyboarding.
Beneficial: Qualification in an art and design field or extensive self-study of art and design concepts including colour theory, composition and type setting. Adobe Acrobat DC and Camtasia Studio 8.
Medical Industry experience is not a requirement for this role – it is more important that you understand how people interact with software.
